About Metro Emergency Upfitters
Metro Emergency Upfitters is an Oklahoma vehicle upfitter specializing in police and fire response vehicles, road maintenance vehicles, public utility vehicles, and specialty builds. Our customers include municipalities, law enforcement, fire and rescue, military, private security, fleets, dealerships, and commercial organizations. That same range of services supports commercial customers, from work truck and van builds to fleet graphics, wraps, and tint.
Our Story
Founded in 2014, Metro Emergency Upfitters was established by President and Founder Aaron York.
Mr. York has over 20 years of 12-volt application and installation experience and has pioneered many new installation and fabrication techniques to ensure the customer’s needs are met to their full satisfaction.
Mr. York is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations as well as ensuring MEU’s quality and ingenuity stay at the forefront of the industry.
Our Approach
Upfitting is not one-size-fits-all.
A patrol vehicle, a brush truck, a utility pickup, and a K9 unit all carry different equipment and face different demands. So we begin with questions: How will the vehicle be used? What does it need to carry? Who will operate it? What budget does it need to fit?
From there, we work with you to design the build and agree on specifications, and you receive a detailed quote with a full equipment list. The result is a vehicle configured for its actual job.
Our Team
The people who operate our vehicles rely on the quality of the installation behind them. That is a responsibility MEU takes seriously.
Our technicians are trained as apprentices until they have earned the national Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification and have demonstrated the skills that define the craftsmanship of our work. Whether it is a full custom build, a retrofit of equipment, or a minor application, every customer receives the same level of service and quality.

Our Facilities
Metro Emergency Upfitters operates two Oklahoma locations: Oklahoma City and Pryor. Both locations support MEU's full range of vehicle upfitting, equipment installation, graphics, protection, and specialty vehicle services.
Oklahoma City Facility
Our Oklahoma City location works with law enforcement agencies, fire departments, municipalities, utility fleets, dealerships, commercial fleets, and other organizations that need vehicles planned and equipped for the job.
